Building the Country’s Welfare
Volga Group Corporation projects are part of prioritized state programs. The Dubrava low-rise construction project receives subsidies as part of the “Affordable and Comfortable Housing for Citizens of Russia” National Program. The corporation participates in the program for provision of housing to cheated investors through its involvement in the Blocks 107 and 109 projects in the city of Samara. The corporation is building the Dynamo sports and recreation center by the order of the Samara Regional Ministry for Construction and Housing and Utility Infrastructure and is implementing a project for the construction of a residential block of flats for servicemen.
On 12th August 2008, the Samara Regional Ministry for Construction and Housing and Utility Infrastructure acknowledged the Volga Group Investment and Construction Corporation’s work by awarding a Certificate of Merit to Volga Group Chairman Peter Sivozhelezov, for many years of fruitful work and a significant contribution to the development of the construction sector.
Dubrava was the only object that Nikolai Koshman, the President of the Russian Builders’ Association, visited during his working trip to Samara. He described Dubrava as a landmark project within the prioritized “Affordable and Comfortable Housing for Citizens of Russia” national program.
The Samara branch of the Russian Builders’ Association was established on the basis of the Volga Group Corporation. The branch is run by Volga Group Chairman Peter Sivozhelezov. In December 2008, the Corporation, together with the Samara Regional Ministry for Construction and Housing and Utility Infrastructure, undertook to organize a forum entitled “The Samara Region Construction Sector – Development Trends for 2009”. The Forum ended by identifying a single action strategy for business and public authorities to serve the interests of the population of the region. It is vital that systematic work has been taking place ever since the forum on implementing measures for the support and orderly development of the construction sector via consolidated efforts of all market players.
The Volga Group Corporation is planning to continue its beneficial cooperation for the implementation of joint projects within the framework of partnership between private business and the state. This partnership will be beneficial for both business and the state in terms of implementing large-scale investment projects and prioritized national programs, and remedying social problems.
